Ingredients
8 oz fresh mozzarella
2 large beefsteak tomatoes (or cherry tomatoes)
1 pint fresh purple basil
e 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp balsamic glaze
Kosher salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Cut mozzarella into 1/4-inch slices
Slice tomatoes to match the mozzarella thickness
Stack 3 basil leaves and slice into 1/4-inch wide ribbons
Alternate mozzarella and tomato slices on a platter
Scatter basil ribbons between cheese and tomato layers
Drizzle olive oil evenly over the salad
Sprinkle with salt and pepper
Let rest at room temperature for 10 minutes
Drizzle balsamic glaze just before serving
