Ingredients
1 lb ground halal beef (80/20 blend)
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups parboiled rice
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 cup thinly sliced onions
2 tbsp halal Worcestershire sauce (no alcohol)
Salt to taste
Optional: 1 cup tomato slices (for serving)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Sauté aromatics (onion, garlic) in olive oil until fragrant
Brown halal beef in skillet until moisture evaporates
Salt rice and spread in casserole dish as base
Pour beef mixture over rice, compressing gently
Spread grated cheese evenly over beef
Bake 25 minutes until cheese melts
Blend flour with buttered onions for topping
Sprinkle flour-onion mix on cheese layer
Bake final 10 minutes until golden crust forms
