Description

A no-fuss Southern dessert combining canned peaches, boxed cake mix, and a caramelized syrup for a golden, gooey treat. Ready in 40 minutes, perfect for gatherings or hot summer days.

Ingredients

1 (15.25 oz) box yellow cake mix
2 (15 oz) cans yellow peaches, drained
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or coconut oil
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose or almond flour
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Sprinkle 1/4 cup flour in the bottom.
In a bowl, mix 1/2 cup water with half the cake mix, then press into the dish.
Arrange drained peaches in a single layer over the cake base.
Dot melted butter over the peaches and sprinkle brown sugar and remaining cake mix on top.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–40 minutes until golden. Add cinnamon during the last 5 minutes.

Notes

Avoid overcompressing layers for even baking.
Use coconut oil for a vegan option and almond flour for low-carb.
Adjust brown sugar based on peach sweetness.
Best served warm with vanilla ice cream.
