Ingredients

1 lb Ground Beef (80% lean) – Halal-certified recommended
1 lb Ground Turkey
1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
2 Large Eggs – Act as natural binder
1/2 cup Shallot, Diced – Swap with onion if needed
1 tsp Garlic, Minced
2 tbsp Tomato Paste
1 tbsp Olive Oil – Use avocado oil as substitute
Salt + Black Pepper – To taste – Use halal-certified salts
1 Bay Leaf – Remove before serving


Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
Lightly oil a loaf pan with olive oil
Combine ground beef, turkey, breadcrumbs, eggs, shallot, garlic, tomato paste, salt, and pepper in large bowl
Mix gently with spoon or spatula until just combined
Add bay leaf and olive oil, fold in with gentle upward motions
Spoon mixture into prepared loaf pan
Slightly press top into even surface with wet hands

Remove bay leaves from interior
